Feb. 1, 2001

Intended for public-information and presentation-display applications, a 37" XGA plasma display panel (PDP) module is claimed to be the thinnest, lightest and brightest flat panel screen in the industry. The display features a 400:1 contrast with a wide viewing angle that promises to preserve images even at the edge of the screen. Features include a pixel format of 1,024 x 768 and a pixel pitch of 0.735 mm. Colors are displayed in two modes: either 2.1 million (Mode A) or 16.8 million colors (Mode B). Similar to a computer or TV screen, the aspect ratio is 4:3. Pricing for the display begins at $6,900.
