Claiming the industry's largest integrated FET, the EL7585A 4-channel dc/dc converter is designed for use in large (19" or more) TFT-LCD applications such as televisions and desktop monitors. The 3.5A FET provides the highest possible output power in large display panels. A PWM boost converter with 3V to 5V input capability provides up to 16V output. A pair of LDO controllers provides regulation for the gate driver and supply up to 36V for the positive supply and down to -20V for the negative supply. A third LDO provides a regulated logic supply voltage to reduce display noise. Key features include: 1% regulation on all outputs, programmable sequence delay, full fault-protection, thermal shutdown and internal soft-start. Target applications include LCD monitors, TVs, notebook displays, and industrial/medical LCD displays. In a 20-pin QFN lead-free package, pricing for the EL7585A is $1.33 each/1,000. INTERSIL CORP.
