Suitable for synchronization of optical networking equipment, PLLs, synthesizers, and other telecom applications, the Model SY13 frequency and phase-lock detector compares two external input signals and determines if they are synchronized in phase or in frequency. The module displays synchronization status (LVCMOS logic high) if the phase difference of the two signals is constant. Out of synch indication is steady if the two frequencies are more than ±500 parts-per-billion apart. Output is logic high if signals are in synch and logic low if they are out of synch, or if one is missing. Input signals are LVPECL up to 155.52 MHz. The device can also accommodate LVCMOS (3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V, 1.5V) for lower input frequencies. The 0.42" x 0.42" module operates from a 3.3V supply with a typical power consumption of 75 mA. Price is $10 each/1,000. RALTRON ELECTRONICS CORP., Miami, FL. (305) 593-6033.
