Display Processors Use Dual Interface

Aug. 1, 2001

Integrating an ADC/PLL, DVI Rx with HDCP, a scaling engine, and a microcontroller on a single chip, the s9330 display processor up the integration level by also incorporating a dual interface. The s9330-100 (XGA) and s9330-135 (SXGA) devices use proprietary transition minimization logic (TML) to reduce EMI with an option to externally support spread-spectrum ICs. The integrated 80186-compatible microprocessor enables them to interface with a variety of LCD modules from various manufacturers. Available in a 208-pin PQFP, prices for the s9330-10 and s9330-135 are $18 and $22, respectively, each in volume. SAGE, INC., Milpitas, CA. (408) 519-6500.
