The Smart Force family of dc/ac electroluminescent (EL) inverters provides a wide range of standard and custom solutions for display designers who need to power EL backlit LCDs or devices for accent and decorative lighting. Vacuum encapsulated, the inverters promise to prolong the useful life of EL lamps by automatically adjusting operating voltage and frequency as the lamp ages and changes. Two Series are available; the JLA Series for powering EL lamps in LCDs from a wide range of manufacturers and the LPS Series for powering conventional foil EL lamps. Pricing for Smart Force inverters varies according to size, type, and capability. Pricing is $5.83 each/1,000 in standard packages. Pricing for the more compact P Package is $5.59 each.
