Freeware Transforms PC Into Serial Breakout Box

Available for free at the company's web site, Windows-based Breakout RS-232 claims to turn any PC or laptop computer with two serial ports into a serial breakout box and is able to observe any data that is sent or received over an RS-232 serial cable connected between any two devices or computers. It is offered as a tool for diagnosing serial communications problems as well as for figuring out what is being sent and received between two devices. The program can also be used as a terminal to display data received on a single serial port.
