Housed in a PC Card format, the Merlin Mobile Bluetooth protocol analyzer is a non-intrusive design verification system that captures network traffic and provides both display and analysis. Employing the company’s proprietary CATC Trace graphical format, the card displays Bluetooth traffic in a color-coded fashion. An air-probe radio interface allows users to capture traffic within a piconet, including baseband, LMP, L2CAP, SDP, RFCOMM, TCS, and OBEX layers. The card also provides decodes for HDLC, PPP, BNEP, HID, and AT commands and can create custom decodes through its user-defined decoding function.
