Employing a unique human-machine interface (HMI) architecture, the NS interface accesses data from PLCs on up to three networks via a single display. This is accomplished via an Ethernet network, the company’s ControllerLink network, and up to two serial ports simultaneously. Features include a four-channel video input module and a monitor tool that allows a PLC’s ladder program to be monitored from a system menu, eliminating the need for a computer for troubleshooting. Available with 7" STN and 12" TFT screens displaying up to 256 colors, the interface comes with 4 MB of memory for screen data, expandable to 20 MB. Measuring 1.9" deep and NEMA 4 rated, price starts at $2,495. Software pricing starts at $395. OMRON ELECTRONICS LLC, Schaumberg, IL. (800) 556-6766.
