Promising easy error diagnosis of CAN and CANopen systems, the CANcheck universal installation tester provides approved functions for physical wiring, cable, termination, and line-length tests plus operational tests including signal level, busload, and display of message and error frames. The instrument now offers additional functions for recording of measurement results as well as for verifying the plausibility of results. It records up to four measurement series and stores them on a PC. Additionally, users can check measurement results for plausibility, thereby avoiding errors in system-quality validation. Operation is via control keys and a graphic LCD display and the instrument connects to a PC via a USB interface. Battery powered, average operation time is about 24 hours. IXXAT INC., Bedford, NH.
