Claiming a breakthrough in power-LED capabilities, the NovaBrite LED module is capable of displaying 6,500K with a forward current of 350 mA and an input power of 3W in standard colors. A second module, described as a uniquely brighter-white, 120-lumen unit, handles up to 4W. The modules are available mounted on a heatsink with fins or as a discrete LED component (emitter). Offered as self-contained light engines, each consists of a 13.5 mm x 20.5 mm gull-wing emitter, residing on either a 36-mm diameter PCB or on the aforementioned heatsink assembly. Forward voltages range from 4.5V to 12V at 350 mA in series or at 1A in parallel. Other features include viewing angles of 60° (domed lens) and 120° (flat lens), a lumen output range from 20 to 90 lumens depending on color, RoHS compliance, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +120ºC. Prices start from $6 each in production quantities. AMERICAN BRIGHT OPTOELECTRONICS CORP., Chino, CA. (888) 533-0800.
