Designed for specialty illumination applications requiring focused light beams, the company's light rods come in lengths from 9.14 to 25.4 mm and diameters from 2.54 to 25.4 mm. They promise reliable uniformity, while being highly directional. Power consumption ranges from 20 to 25 mA and typical life span is from 20,000 to 100,000 hr. to half life. The rods are said to be capable of simulating the appearance of neon or CCFL lighting, sans the associated EMI problems. Each rod comes with an LED light source plus a wiring harness, and custom rods can be delivered in two to four weeks. Pricing starts below $1 for a 3" long, 0.1" diameter rod.
