Six new digital storages oscilloscopes (DSOs) in the next-generation 1000 series offer bandwidths from 60 MHz to 200 MHz and features normally found on more expensive scopes. The DSOs come in two- or four-channel versions, in a package that is just 5 in. deep and weighs less than 7 lbs. The scopes can display 23 automatic measurements—up to 21 simultaneously—including measurements from a built-in six-digit counter. A sequence-mode capability allows engineers to record and replay up to 1000 occurrences of a trigger for easy identification of glitches and other anomalies. Also, a suite of DSP filters helps users focus on the most relevant spectral content. Memory of 20 kpoints/channel permits use of the full sample rate up to eight times longer than other scopes in this class. Standard features include USB connections and IntuiLink connectivity software, which make it easy to share and document results. The two-channel scopes include the 60-MHz DSO1002A ($1200), the 100-MHz DSO1012A ($1500), and the 200-MHz 1022A ($1880). The four-channel models are the 60-MHz DSO1004A ($1730), the 100-MHz DSO1014A ($2080), and the 200-MHz DSO1024A ($2410). AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 829-4444.
