Designed for use in mobile phones, digital still and video cameras, and display applications, the YLL Series of 0.3mm-pitch, low-profile FPC ZIF connectors are available in two versions—the D-Series with down-side contacts and the U-Series with upper-side contacts. The YLL-D provides 0.3 mm spacing, 13 to 45 down-side contact positions, and a maximum height of 1.0mm. The YLL-U provides the same spacing with 13 to 45 upper-side contact positions, and a maximum height of 1.05mm. Both versions have a front flip-type actuator for easy, error free cable insertion. The series also features high cable retention to insure the cable stays in place in demanding applications. Gold plating is used in the contact area to prevent whiskering issues. Pricing for the 41- position connector is $0.57 for 1 to 5,000 pieces. FCI, Etters, PA. (800) 237-2374.
