Measurement Software Power Pumped Up

Oct. 1, 2001

In its latest edition, Measurement Studio 6.0 allows users to expand their measurement capabilities in LabWindows/CVI, Microsoft Visual Basic, and Visual C++. The new version offers enhanced visualization tools that can quickly display data on real-time 3D or 2D graphs and charts that normally would take hours to build. Users can supplement those graphs with annotations for labeling or explaining significant dips or spikes in the data. The software also allows use of cursors to determine exact coordinates on a 3D graph. In addition, users can share graphs and data via DataSocket, a high-level publish/subscribe technology that provides simplified URL addressing and low network overhead. Other new features include hardware integration capabilities, improved visualization and analysis tools, and Internet connectivity. Prices start at $995. NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS, Austin, TX.
