Mid-Range Hipots Include Graphic LCD

April 1, 2001

Targeting the mid-priced market, the Hypot III series high-potential (hipot) testers consists of three models, all of which feature a graphic LCD and a user- friendly interface. The display is reported to show information more prominently than the older style two-line LCD displays. Models include the 3605 5kV ac hipot, 3665 5kV ac/dc hipot, and the model 3670 5kV ac/dc hipot with a 1 kV insulation-resistance test range. The model 3670 covers the three most common safety tests: ac/dc hipot, dc hipot and insulation resistance. Tests may be sequenced individually or in any combination using set-up memories, allowing them to run automatically. Other features of the series include: no load set-up of high voltage and trip current; adjustable ground continuity test; line/load regulation; switchable 50/60 Hz testing; 10 memories with three steps per memory; and single step mode for linked tests.
