High-speed transfer of electromagnetic field measurements from a probe back to a PC up to 100m away is provided by the new EMC-300 optical interface via standard F-SMA fibre optic cables. Suited for applications such as EMC immunity testing in an anechoic chamber, the unit enables measurements covering a wide frequency range of 3 kHz to 60 GHz, depending on the EMR series of isotropic field probes used. With a high field-sampling rate of 38.4 kHz, the EMC-300 can carry out simultaneous processing of measurements for X, Y and Z axes and can display the sum of these three inputs in various units of measure. With overall dimensions of 120 x 85 x 35 mm, the unit mounts on a commercial tripod. It is supplied with a calibration certificate, charger for integral NiMH batteries, and Probe Tools configuration software. LINK MICROTEK LIMITED, Hants, England. +44 (0) 1256 355771.
