Designed for the continuous online monitoring of particle counts in raw water, the C10/77 particle sensor relies on a laser light-blocking principle and can provide particle-count data over size ranges from 2 to 200 mm with three 4 mA-to-20 mA analog outputs and an RS-232/485 output. The sensor includes a LED display for indicating either raw count data or differential counts. Users can select a display of the total particles of a certain size, or differential counts. The display operates via sealed membrane switches on the front. Particle alarm indication can also be programmed at the counter so that high particle counts are indicated locally. Claimed as unique, the sensor has a removable measuring cell, making it easy to remove deposits on the optical surfaces. ANALYTICAL TECHNOLOGY INC., Collegeville, PA. (800) 959-0299.
