PLC Enables Real-Time Parameter Changes

Oct. 1, 1999

The Visual-KV programmable logic controller is claimed as the industry's first with a built-in two-color display that permits users to not only monitor PLC data, but also to change program parameters in real-time. At 2/3 the size of conventional PLCs, it's also said to be the smallest in its class. Other features include a 0.7-µs instruction execution time and 140-µs base scan time.Included is a 4-line x 20-character backlit display of comments in the ladder diagram that requires no extra software or power supply. Up to eight types of expansion I/O units are available for flexible layout. The PLC also includes two 24-bit, 30-kHz counters, and more.
