Scaler Card Counts Time With 10-ns Resolution

Model MS-12 multi-input scaler on a single ISA card offers 12 100-MHz scalers. The first scaler can be configured as a timer with 10-ns time resolution using a crystal time base. Two scalers can be preset. Using the carry-out function, a 64-bit preset capability is available. Four scalers can be selected to indicate their instantaneous count rates on the PC screen as a ratemeter in a bar graph display. The counts in each input channel are displayed on the screen and, additionally, four channels can be selected to shoe the individual counting rate as a bar graph. The unit comes complete with comprehensive software for setup and display. DLL interface for National Instruments’ LabVIEW and Visual Basic is available.
