This new cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) inverter transformer series delivers the high voltage needed for backlighting LCDs, such as used in notebook and handheld computers, flat panel home entertainment displays, point-of-sale terminals, portable instruments, and automotive and medical monitors. The surface-mountable transformers operate at 60 kHz ±25% over a temperature range of 0°C to 75°C with a dielectric strength of 1.5 VRMS. Available in five 6W configurations, the transformers offer input voltage options of 25V, 20V, 15V, 13V, or 10.5V, each with an output of 1.3 kV at 70 mA. They measure 26 x 16.5 x 7.1 mm, employ a multi-sectional bobbin construction to inhibit high voltage breakdown, and cost $2.09 each/500. J.W. MILLER, Gardena, CA. (310) 515-1720.
