In addition to providing all the key features for next-generation digital TVs, digital broadband set-top boxes, and Internet appliances, the CyberPro 5300 family of streaming media processors is said to enable any type of content from any source to be streamed and displayed for a seamless interactive experience in the home. Key processor features include: support for 3D/2D graphics; a three-port video engine for simultaneously capturing multiple video streams; DuoVision for simultaneous presentation of content on two different displays; FlexiBus for direct interface to multiple industry CPUs; TVDirect for broadcast picture quality; eView for high picture quality; mView for hardware-magnified view of content; tView for flexible transparency algorithms; and Digital Link to interface to an LCD display.
The four devices in the series add combinations of Macro Vision, industry-standard encryption, and an audio processor function for processing MP3, wavetable, MIDI, PCM, I2S and stereo audio. For example, the 5300 excludes both of those features, 5305 adds Macro Vision without the audio processor, 5350 includes the audio processor without Macro Vision, and the 5355 has both the audio processor and Macro Vision features. In either a 208-pin PQFP or 256-pin PBGA, CyberPro 5300 costs $28 each/1,000.
