Thin-Film Common Mode Filter First For DisplayPort

Oct. 8, 2008
The TCM1210U-500-2P embarks as the industry’s first wide-band thin-film common mode filter for EMI suppression on DisplayPort interfaces. Measuring 1.25 mm x 1 mm x 0.6 mm, the filter specifies a cutoff frequency of 8 GHz, reportedly 2 GHz

The TCM1210U-500-2P embarks as the industry’s first wide-band thin-film common mode filter for EMI suppression on DisplayPort interfaces. Measuring 1.25 mm x 1 mm x 0.6 mm, the filter specifies a cutoff frequency of 8 GHz, reportedly 2 GHz higher than that of the company’s TCM1210H-900-2P thin-film common mode filter for HDMI. As a result, the filter offers effective noise control without degrading the transmission characteristics of high-speed differential transmission line signals. Specifications include a common mode impedance of 50 Ohms at 100 MHz, voltage rating of 10V, and a current rating of 100 mA. For further information, call TDK USA CORP., Garden City, NY.
