A new moving display tool add-on for Scroll, the company's Direct Capture System, allows immediate viewing of data from optical satellites, such as MODIS, Landsat-7, IRS and SPOT-4. With the tool, satellite images are streamed across the computer screen as the ground station receives them. Scroll sub-samples the incoming data, decodes it, and then displays it on a computer screen. This real-time system provides instant visual feedback on the quality of the data being received. The tool also features band selection, contrast enhancement, various levels of sub-sampling for differing resolutions, and provides color composite viewing. Scroll supports single- or multi-band image data and is compatible with a variety of optical satellites and other telemetry sources.
