Enabling 3X higher SNR without using digital filters, Tx-Boost, a unique feature for Cypress Semiconductor’s Gen4 TrueTouch touchscreen controllers, promises to dramatically improve system performance without added cost. Based on patent-pending high-voltage Tx drivers, Tx-Boost uses hardware acceleration to triple SNR. This enables OEMs to employ sensor-on-lens with direct lamination to displays and in-cell architectures for creating ever thinner products. Additionally, Tx-Boost efficiently parallelizes multiple operations in hardware without burdening the CPU. Tx-Boost is available on all Gen4 TrueTouch devices.
