For rugged self-service kiosks and ATM applications where reliability and privacy are an issue, the MicroTouch ToughTouch II capacitive touch screens are described as highly responsive and reliable with a high level of impact resistance against breakage from accidental or malicious activity. They combine a MicroTouch ClearTek II capacitive touch screen with a 4-mm glass layer that is optically laminated to the back. Sporting an overall thickness of 8 mm, the ToughTouch II touch screens comply with UL 60950 safety standards for impact resistance and are IP66/NEMA 4 sealable They are available in standard sizes of 12.1", 15", 17", and 19" and, with an integrated viewer privacy feature, in 12.1", 15", and 17" sizes. 3M ELECTRONICS, Saint Paul, MN.
