CES 2011 – Additions to 3M’s transparent conductor line, Patterned Transparent Conductors, tout advantages over ITO/PET designs.

CES 2011 – Additions to 3M’s transparent conductor line, Patterned Transparent Conductors, tout advantages over ITO/PET designs. Enhancing performance and appearance of consumer electronics, the conductors exhibit sheet resistance that is orders of magnitude lower than ITO-based products. Resulting systems provide fast, accurate projected capacitive sensing over the entire display service in a stylish and reliable package. Also, the conductor material supports curved and narrow bezel touch sensor designs, enabling unique form factors and increasing the effective display area. The components are also available as Un-patterned Transparent Conductors for EMI shielding apps. 3M ELECTRONICS, St. Paul, MN. (888) 364-3577.
