For applications where high visibility is essential, the company's ultra-bright GaN LEDs are capable of delivering light intensities of up to 17,000 mcd when operating on a supply voltages ranging from 3.4V to 3.5V at 20 mA. The new LEDs are specifically designed to be used as replacements for standard incandescent lamps. The components are available in green, blue and white and are offered in T1 and T1-3/4 sizes with bi-pin leads for through-hole mounting. Depending on the color selected, water-clear resin or UV-resistant epoxy packages are also available. Targeted applications include indicator lights, displays, signs, and automotive and outdoor lighting. In quantities of 10 million units, pricing for the ultra-bright LEDs starts at $0.60 each.
