Video Wall Player Drives Up To Four 1920 x 1080 Displays

June 13, 2014
Developed by VIA Technologies, the fanless all-in-one-solution can drive up to four displays with a single player.

Retailers and other small businesses can transform single-display digital signage systems into immersive multimedia environments when using the VIA Video Wall Mini. Developed by VIA Technologies, the fanless all-in-one-solution can drive up to four displays with a single player. Combining the player with the company’s MagicView content-management platform for designing, distributing, and displaying digital signage content helps reduce cost/complexity of multi-screen installations and simplifies broadcasting of high-definition multimedia. Displays can be deployed in a variety of separate and stitched configurations, including 2 x 2, 1 x 4, and 4 x 1, to enable flexible customization. The player is powered by a 1.0-GHz VIA QuadCore E-series processor and VIA VX11PH media system processor. It supports two videos running at resolutions of 1080p and four videos running at 720p. Four HDMI-out ports support four 1920-by-1080 displays, and they can be configured with optional HDMI and VGA input ports to integrate cameras for security and surveillance. Additional I/O includes two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one COM port for RS-232/422/485, one DIO port for 8-bit GPIO (rear panel), and two audio jacks plus one dc-in jack (front panel).
