VQA Software Adds PESQ

July 1, 2002

The company’s voice quality assessment (VQA) software has recently been enhanced with the addition of perceptual speech quality measurement (PSQM) capabilities. The software package retains perceptual analysis and measurement (PAM) in accordance with ITU Rec. P.800, while the PESQ enhancement meets ITU Rec. P.861. In operation, the application performs PAMS, PSQM/PSQM+, and PESQ simultaneously, using two voice files (the reference voice and the degraded voice) and presents the algorithms’ results in both graphical and tabular formats. It also displays latency and clipping results. Price for the PESQ-enhanced software is $7,645. GL COMUNICATIONS INC., Gaithersburg, MD. (301) 670-4784.
