profiles/mcu/index.shtml Providing up to 143 general-purpose I/O lines in eight ports, the ST10F280 16-bit microcontroller also embeds a 40-MHz DSP controller that executes DSP instructions in just 50 ns. The device includes 512 KB of flash memory with a retention of 20 years and 100,000 cycles over a temperature range from -40°C to 125°C. And in addition to operating on a 5V supply, the new 16-bit MCU also offers interrupt handling with an additional eight-channel DMA for single-cycle data transfers, as well as timers, serial channels, an A/D converter, and pulse width modulators. For automotive applications, the MCU also includes two CAN interfaces and two watchdog timers. Fabricated in a 0.35-µm process, the ST10F280 is available in a 208-lead BGA package.
