Designed for use with the company's DSPs, two new 16-bit, linear DSP codecs are claimed to be the industry's first to maximize DSP performance while reducing development time by a factor of 10. The codecs feature a sampling rate of 22 ks/s, a serial interface, application support, and 25% lower power consumption than comparable devices. The TLV320AIC10 delivers 84 dB of SNR for analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion. It operates from 3 to 5.5V for both analog and digital supplies. Offered as a low-voltage alternative, the TLV320AIC11 codec is identical to the TLV320AIC10 except it supports low-voltage digital-I/O operation at 1.2 to 1.8 vdc. The TLV320AIC10 is priced at $3.75 each/1000 and the TLV320AIC11 is $4.25 each/1000.
