Offered as a single chip, the Intrada DVD (LS2010) DVD decoder combines standard DVD decoder technologies, the latest audio decode formats, advanced video technologies, and back-end analog components. It is said to be the first to incorporate 0.18 µm technology, said to reduce chip cost. audio features include MP3, WMA and JPEG decoding support as well as AC-3 and DTS with six-channel decoding. In addition to DVD, video support includes compatibility with Video CD and the emerging Super VCD format. An integrated NTSC/PAL encoder provides progressive output of 480 lines at 60 Hz. Other features include YUV and RGB output, Macrovision copyright protection, and three built-in, 10-bit two-times oversampling video d/a converters, a 32-bit DSP, and an 81 MHz RISC processor.
