Oct. 1, 1999

The firm has added Mysticom Ltd.'s MystiPHY110 digital Ethernet physical interface to its DSP-based TimeBuilder ASIC portfolio. Combined with the firm's DSPs, the PHY provides users with the ability to integrate multiple Ethernet PHYs on a digital media access controller. Applications include: network interface cards, hubs, routers, switches and systems capable of sending VoIP protocol. The PHY is offered as an ASIC cell fabricated with 0.21-µm technology. It performs the functions of a standard 10/100-Mb Ethernet PHY in accordance with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 10Base-T and 100Base-TX physical layer specs. It will interface to either twisted-pair or fiber-optic cable.
