Groomed for carrier-class customer premise (CP) apps, the latest family of Comcerto dual-core packet processors enables service providers to support sophisticated applications, high-performance packet processing, and quality of service (QoS) for the triple-play broadband home and small/medium enterprise markets. The Comcerto 100 series employs the company's integrated system-on-chip architecture that includes a pair of ARM 11 processors, security engine, 64 KB of memory, 128-KB L2 cache, 64-bit wide 165-MHz multi-layer interconnect bus, and QoS and traffic management capabilities. The ARM cores run standard ANSI C code and all standard operating systems and off-the-shelf applications. For communications, the devices provide dual Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Bus, USB2.0 with PHY, TDM, and UTOPIA L2 interfaces. Additionally, they run OpenWrt Linux distribution and the same VoIP software suite developed for the Comcerto carrier VoIP processor family.
