The Embedded Medical Platform (EE-Med) is based on the company's real-time operating system (RTOS), along with key services like the Polyhedra RDBMS (relational database management system); a secure TCP/IP stack with secure-socket-layer, RADIUS, IPsec, and IPv6 support; and the Swell Software PEG GUI development tool. Additionally available is a DSP-optimized version of the the OCEck (OSE compact kernel) real-time operating system. EE-Med modules have a small memory footprint, and they support Arm- and PowerPC-based, FDA-certified hardware reference platforms. A typical EE-Med configuration costs $50,000 per project.
