Reported as supporting the highest data rates in the industry at 72-bit word widths, the x72 SuperSync II FIFOs operate at 100 MHz and are available in versions ranging from 32-kbit to 4-Mbit densities. The devices are well suited for packet buffering and queuing in high-speed gigabit and terabit routers, as well as other applications utilizing 64-bit microprocessors, DSPs or PCI interfaces.
The FIFOs meet the need for greater data throughput by providing double the system bandwidth of existing x36 FIFO solutions in a single, high-performance fine-pitch BGA package. The devices provide system designers with the building block needed for handling data path and/or control path buffering tasks and use 3.3V power supplies. Pricing starts at $55.60 each/10,000.
