HDL Co-Design Capability Added To Design Simulation Package

Dec. 1, 1998

Developers of communications products can integrate new or existing digital designs into their mixed-signal design environments with the HDL co-design in the HP Advanced Design System EDA software. The system is a fully integrated solution for end-to-end communications signal-path design. The addition of HDL co-design extends the full range of communications system design capabilities offered by the tool to include design of VHDL and Verilog, along with analog, RF and DSP technologies, all in a single environment.Additional benefits include the incorporation into communications product designs of new or existing IP from previous product generations or external vendors and the integration of HDL output form HP DSP synthesis into a system simulation in order to verify functionality and performance of the system before implementation.
