Described as the market's lowest power and smallest size components, the company's latest PCI Express (PCIe) switches include five devices that range from a 3-lane, 3-port switch to an 8-lane, 5-port switch. They address specific I/O connectivity challenges in embedded medical, automotive, PC, and consumer applications requiring low lane and port counts. Offered standard in QFN packages, multiple package options are available. The devices comply with PCIe specification 1.1 and are said to deliver high performance with low latency, cut-through architectures, deep buffering, and support for large maximum payloads. The five PCIe switches are sampling now. INTEGRATED DEVICE TECHNOLOGY INC., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 345-7015.
