The Jazz 2 architecture and family of configurable processor-core tool suites now offers a 16-bit option aimed at applications that require efficient power consumption and smaller footprints. This option complements the 32-bit version, which targets applications such as media and network processing.
The tool suites come with a set of pre-designed versions of the core that includes single- (Jazz 2010), dual- (Jazz 2020) and quad-MAC (Jazz 2040) versions. Jazz 2010 targets entry-level applications and provides DSP extensions to a RISC-like core. The new version also includes a complete set of configurable integration blocks that enable integration into a SoC design. Pricing begins at $5,000 per seat.
