SoC DSP Platform A Complete Package

Jan. 1, 2002

A new open system-on-a-chip DSP platform is being touted as a complete package that not only includes customizable DSP cores, but also application-specific IP and a DSP sub-system. The sub-system inlcudes DMA, debug, BIST, JTAG, and efficient bus interfaces to RISC controllers, memory, peripherals and I/O. The digital signal processors in the platform are based on the Philips Semiconductors family of R.E.A.L. DSP cores. The cores offer a variety of customization and optimization options, including application-specific instructions and hardware execution units and tightly connected complex coprocessors. Platforms come with a fully graphical interactive development environment that includes C compilation. ADELANTE TECHNOLOGIES, Leuven, Belgium. +32 16 39 14 11.
