Chip-scale MicroPak packaging is said to make the FSA4157 SPDT, FSA1156 SPST NO and FSA1157 SPST NC low-ohmic analog switches the industry’s smallest such devices. The switches feature a maximum on-resistance of 1.0 ohms to 1.35 ohms, an operating voltage range of 1.65V to 5.5V, a total harmonic distortion (THD) of 0.002% (typ.), and an on-resistance flatness of 0.2 ohms (typ.). The switches’s low on-resistance improves signal integrity and lowers the drive necessary to support audio and signal processing applications. And their wide operating voltage range helps protect cell phone batteries from damage caused by overcharges. The devices also have a bandwidth greater than 350 MHz, helping support high-speed analog and digital signal routing in low-voltage applications, while providing ESD protection of better than 7,500V (HBM). The lead-free analog switches come in six-lead SC70 or chip-scale MicroPak packages and are priced at $0.45 (FSA4157), $0.38 (FSA1156) and $0.38 (FSA1157) each/1,000.
