Introduced as the industry's first voice-enabled Internet modem for PSTN and VoIP telephones, the SmartStack VoIP integrates all of the software building blocks needed for full VoIp capability on a single off-the-shelf DSP. The software is said to allow OEMs integrates the most the most cost-effective and smallest footprint hardware required to add Internet connectivity into their equipment. Running on a single Analog Devices' DSP, it completely integrates with the physical layer software to provide Internet connectivity over a public telephone network or any LAN. In addition, the software requires no extra gateways and no user-generated code. Price for the software version of SmartStack VoIP for PSTN or Ethernet is $4.10 in quantities of 10,000.
