The company has introduced a three-chip solution which it claims will deliver industry-leading voice quality to IP telephones. The chipset includes a phone controller, dual codec, and 10/100 PHY, as well as all the software protocol needed for system development. The MT92102 phone controller is a multi-core, system-on-a-chip that manages the protocol stack and DSP processing algorithms and integrates the ARM7 RISC CPU, OAKDSP, and a full 801.1p 10/100 Ethernet bridge. Providing the drivers for hands-free speakerphone, handset and line operation, the MT92303 is a full-featured codec that requires no external components. The NWK933 is a 3.3-V CMOS physical layer device for 10/100Base-T Ethernet and is compatible with the auto-negotiation section of IEEE 802.3u and provides the functions for full-duplex operation. Pricing for the MT92102 and MT92303, including software, is $17.36 each/100,000; the NWK933 costs $3 each/100,000.
