Sporting a larger footprint than previous standard INTEGRAmotor components, the 34B/FV 24V brushless dc motor sports a 34B frame that combines a PWM speed control, the brushless DC motor, and an optical encoder into one drive package. It delivers 1/4 hp (187W) of power and up to 100 oz.-in. (0.706 Nm) of continuous torque. Like smaller INTEGRAmotors, the larger-frame motor operates from a regulated 24-Vdc supply and speed is controllable via a digital PWM interface. The integrated control accepts inputs from an external motion controller or PLC. The 1024 PPR, two-channel, optical encoder provides closed loop feedback to the external controller. The 34B/FV combines with a wide selection of parallel shaft, right-angle, or hollow-shaft gearheads, delivering output speeds ranging from 0.3 to 500 rpm and torques up to 350 lb.-in. (40 Nm). Other features include an IP-44 rating. BODINE ELECTRIC CO., Chicago, IL. (800) 726-3463.
