Targeting dynamic-brake designs for motor drives and certain dc chopper regulator applications, this family of boost-regulator-type modules are rated from 75A up to 300A at 600V and from 50A to 150A at 1200V. The modules consist of an IGBT with a reserve connected free-wheel diode plus an additional diode connected to the IGBT. They come in the market-requested, low-inductance U-Series packaging and are available on a made-to-order basis with a 50-piece minimum purchase and an eight- to 12-week lead time. A typical price for 50 pieces of the CM75E3U-12H (75A at 600v) is $27.
