Consisting of ten modules, the Motion-SPM power module family energizes home appliances and industrial motors requiring up to the 3 kW of power. The modules integrate three HVICs, one LVIC, six NPT IGBTs, six FRDs, and three bootstrap diodes into 44 mm x 26.8 mm Mini-DIP packages and are capable of replacing as many as 22 discrete components. The integral HVICs provide a single-grounded power supply for an optocoupler-less interface, while the NPT IGBTs provide optimal tradeoffs between conduction losses and switching losses. All modules in the family employ lead-free terminals and meet moisture sensitivity requirements of the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020. Depending on the module, prices range from $11.80 to $28.40 each/100. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA. (800) 341-0392.
