A family of application-specific dc fans—the VA series—delivers high airflow and extremely high static pressure in the most popular frame sizes. All VA series fans feature a dual ball-bearing system with a brushless dc, auto-restart, polarity-protected motor. The fans incorporate all the popular special functions, such as PWM, tachometer, alarm, and thermal control. IP55 protection is also available. The OD1238 VA series (120 by 38 mm) features airflows ranging from 140 to 283 CFM with a maximum static pressure as high as 1.85 in. H2O for the 48-V version. The OD1238 vane-axial fans are available in 12, 24, and 48 V dc. Life expectancy (L10) is 65,000 hours. The high-performance OD9238 VA series (92 by 38 mm) features 135 CFM airflow with a maximum static pressure of 0.74 in. H2O. Life expectancy is in excess of 50,000 hours. With an airflow up to 112 CFM, the OD8038 VA series (80 by 38 mm) is the only fan of its size to deliver this level of performance. Maximum static pressure is 1.1 in. H2O. The series is offered in 12-, 24-, and 48-V configurations. Life expectancy is in excess of 50,000 hours. The OD6038 VA series (60 by 38 mm) provides an industry-leading 61 CFM performance for the high-speed model. They also come in 12-, 24-, and 48-V configurations. Life expectancy is in excess of 50,000 hours. Pricing for the VA series fans is $24.00 in quantities up to 99 for the 120-mm model and $16.00 for the 60-, 80-, and 92-mm models. Prototype samples are also available. ORION FANS, Dallas, TX. (800) 323-2439.
