Free Motion App Gets A Facelift

Recent upgrades to Application Development Kit (ADK) v6.5, a free motion-control application, enhance the tool to support the company’s latest motion controllers. These include the SPiiPlus 3U-HP, SPiiPlus LF, MC4U, and the LDM 3U linear drive.

Recent upgrades to Application Development Kit (ADK) v6.5, a free motion-control application, enhance the tool to support the company’s latest motion controllers. These include the SPiiPlus 3U-HP, SPiiPlus LF, MC4U, and the LDM 3U linear drive. The software also provides EnDat and Smart-Abs absolute encoder support through the HSSI-HES extension card. Additionally, the ADK provides two-phase step motor support in open loop (microstep mode) or true closed loop control as well as two-phase dc brushless motor support in closed loop. It also supports CANopen certified servo drives and I/O modules. Other features include additional bi-quad filters, a disturbance rejection algorithm, extended analog outputs, plus simulation and motion machine interface tools, and the software supports stand-alone application programming or host-dependant application programming with C++, C#, Visual Basic, and LabVIEW.
