Developed to provide precise speed control and electronic gearing, Uni-Track 1 five-decade, high-resolution controller can be set up to control the precise speed of one motor (master mode) or to force one motor driven process to follow another at a matched or proportional speed. The unit is front panel programmable, accepting single channel encoder, zero speed pickup, magnetic pickup, ac tachometer, and a dc tachometer as a master reference or feedback. The controller is isolated from 0 to ±10 vdc speed reference output and can interface directly with virtually any type of ac/dc variable speed drive. All control inputs are optically isolated for increased noise immunity and ease of interface to PLCs and other process controllers.
