Based on the firm’s Power Conversion Processor architecture, these new devices represent the monolithic integration of high-voltage circuits. Embracing gate drive, protection, current sense, soft start, and power supply functions, the new high-voltage ICs are targeted at driving down the price points for high-performance motor drives for high volume industrial and appliance applications. They are specifically designed for industrial drives that include: 600V and 1220V gate drivers with IGBT protection; 600V and 1200V motor phase current sensing ICs with direct PWM interface to microcontroller; and soft start controller for the input converter. Products designed for appliance drives include simple 600V single-phase and three-phase gate drivers.
